Alyssa Allen Alyssa Allen has 12 years’ experience as a writer in the fields of marketing, public relations and journalism. She began her career as a newspaper reporter for seven years in New York and Pennsylvania. Later, she worked as a writer and communications specialist in various settings -- a liberal arts college in Pennsylvania, one of West Michigan’s largest law firms, and a highly respected marketing and communications firm in Grand Rapids. Recently, she created her own freelance business, working with clients including non-profit organizations, colleges and universities, book publishers, medical facilities, manufacturing companies, technology firms and financial institutions.
Alyssa has a bachelor’s degree in English from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a master’s degree in journalism from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. She lives in Grand Rapids with her husband and son.
